Announcements

With Kora, sharing the news updates & achievements with your team or enterprise has never been so easy. You can broadcast messages and news to colleagues and teams using Kora Announcements.

Highlights

  • The announcements editor to enter the following details:
    • Announcement Title;
    • Content;
    • Intended Target for the Announcement – it can be a team or individual user(s).
  • Once an announcement is made you can further modify and collaborate on the same through:
    • Comments;
    • Like;
    • Edit announcements (only the creator can edit)

Access Permissions: You need to provide access to your cloud contacts when prompted for during onboarding so that created announcements can be shared with your colleagues.

Make an Announcement

Initiating the create announcement opens an editor where you can specify the following:

  1. Announcement Title: Kora needs a title for the announcement.
  2. Content: The content will be sent as part of the announcement.
  3. The editor provides you with formatting options like bolditalicunderline. You can also enter bulleted content, attach files and/or add links.
  4. Share: After entering the details, click Next to add team(s) or individuals from your organization who should receive this announcement.

Enterprise Announcements

Note that this feature is available only to Enterprise Admins.

For Admins, under Profile -> Preferences -> Kora email services, along with other email services, an email ID for announcements would be present. When the admin forwards any email to that announcement email service ID, it will be shared with everyone in the domain and will be tagged as Enterprise Announcement.

Actions

Once created, you can access the announcements from the announcements panel. You can comment, or like the announcement.

Steps to access announcements:

  1. Select Announcements Panel from the main menu – a list of Announcements along with a brief overview will be displayed.
  2. Click on any announcement to view the details. You have the following options listed for each announcement:
    • Comment – Click the comment icon to view and add your own comments to a given announcement
    • Like – Click in the like icon to express the same.
    • Edit – For the announcements created by you, you will be able to edit the announcement, from the editor page that appears when you select an announcement.
    • Share– For the announcements created by you, you will be able to further share the announcement, using the share icon and entering the target as teams or individuals.
